The I  am "RUTH" chic

Sharnette Washington's journey from the heart of Dallas, Texas, was shaped by the profound influence and spiritual guidance of her grandparents, the late Pastor Calvin and Louise Washington. Her passion for music blossomed at the tender age of six within the walls of her family church and with the Greater Voices Community Choir. Traveling abroad she honed her skills and shared stages with gospel luminaries like Earnest Pugh, Kirisma Evans, and Janae Jones to name a few.

Answering the call to ministry at the age of 18 and marrying at the age of 19, Sharnette embarked on a path as a wife, mother of three and a First Lady then, navigating the complexities of both family and faith. Ordained as an Elder in 2003 under her spiritual father, the Late Bishop Cardell Booker, she dedicated two decades to serving within The Deliverance Fellowship of Churches, imparting wisdom and compassion to all she encountered. There is where she recognized a profound calling to uplift and empower women, founding Proverbs 31 Chic in 1999.

Transitioning to Greater Works Church in Garland, Texas, Sharnette embraced her role as Worship Leader from 2016 to 2023, before assuming her current position as Sr. Elder and Executive Administrator under the guidance and leadership of Pastor- Overseer Anthony and Lady Venecia Bates. Being empowered by her leaders to fully embrace her calling and purpose to where she is now!

Sharnette's journey has been marked by trials including divorce, domestic abuse, homelessness, and sickness. Yet, through unwavering faith and resilience, she emerged stronger and whole. Her life serves as a testament to the transformative power of God's grace, offering hope and inspiration to women of valor who have endured their darkest days. In her journey, she discovered that her testimony, once shrouded in shame, now shines as a beacon of light, guiding others to their own path of healing and restoration. With humility and gratitude, Sharnette stands as a living testament to God's promise of a happy ending, inspiring others to remain steadfast in their faith and resilient in the face of adversity.
